A woman in Florida recently saved the lives of dozens of children. Kristina Buhrman was transporting about 40 kids to their middle school on Wednesday morning.

During the route, the children began to smell and see and smoke. Buhrman pulled over to the side of the road, evacuated the kids and moved them a safe distance away from the bus.

Moments later, the fire started spreading. Flames shot upwards and heavy clouds of smoke took over the air. Buhrman is now rightfully receiving credit for her quick-thinking and heroic life-saving actions.

However, she insists anyone who works with kids would have done the same thing and has commended the children for their role.

She explained “They literally did everything like we practiced. They went off the bus in an orderly fashion. They didn't panic. They moved off to the side of the road and they did great. The kids really, truly did great.”

The bus had previously passed every monthly inspection and Buhrman never noticed any problems before the fire. Buhrman lost her purse and belongings in the blaze, but she received a replacement license and is reportedly back to work.
