More troops deployed to Ferguson in second night of protest

With more National Guard troops deployed to the streets of Ferguson, the city braces for a second night of protest.

Local and national leaders are urging for protesters' First Amendment right to be executed peacefully, unlike the night before that saw cars scorched and 61 arrests.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) MISSOURI GOVERNOR JAY NIXON SAYING:

"I am deeply saddened for the people of Ferguson who woke up this morning to see parts of their communities in ruins. Seniors are afraid to leave the house, school canceled, kids scared to go outside and play."

Earlier in the day, Rev. Al Sharpton slammed the Missouri prosecutor for issuing what he says was a foregone conclusion.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) REV. AL SHARPTON SAYING:

"Have you ever heard a prosecutor go in a press conference to explain to the press why the one that did the killing is not going to trial, but the victim is guilty of several things that no one has established."
