Vietnam ruling party chief arrives in Moscow, seeks to boost ties

STORY: Vietnam's Communist Party's General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong arrived at Moscow's Vnukovo airport on Sunday (November 23), as part of an official visit seeking to boost cooperation between the two countries.

Nguyen's visit comes at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the Vietnamese government.

The Vietnamese delegation includes Vietnam Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.

During the visit Nguyen will meet with top Russian officials for discussions on strategic cooperation and strengthening of bilateral relations.
