TV Host Wears Same Suit For 1 Year

You would probably think TV personalities need an ample wardrobe, given that they appear on the small screen on a regular basis. That may be true for woman, however for men it seems to be a different story, judging by the reaction or lack thereof, that Australian TV host Karl Stefanovic got.

For one year, he wore the same suit while on the air and according to him, nobody noticed. The co-host of the ‘Today’ morning show in Australia deliberately donned the same outfit day after day as part of an experiment to see if women are viewed differently in his line of work.
It all started after his colleague, Lisa Wilkinson, talked about sexism and the fact that she is often criticized for her attire choices. Stefanovic donned the same old suit for a month, before telling his co-host about the little project.
After Wilkinson was alerted, they waited for viewers to take notice, but to their surprise, no-one did. With no response, he eventually decided to reveal to his audience that he had been wearing the same clothes for a year minus a few days here and there for dry-cleaning.
When speaking to a reporter for ‘The Age’ he remarked “I'm judged on my interviews, my appalling sense of humour - on how I do my job, basically, whereas women are quite often judged on what they're wearing or how their hair is.”
