Parents of missing students criticize Mexico search efforts

At an airport in Chilpancingo, parents of the missing 43 students remain restless.

There they met with government officials and search crews amid accusations that not enough is being done to find the missing.

Parents have accused officials of deceit, fostering impunity and bungling the search.

One father questions government reports that thousands of officers are helping.

(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) FATHER OF MISSING STUDENT, MARIO CESAR GONZALEZ, SAYING:

"I tell you as a parent, there is not much interest in this. Unfortunately they say yes and promise and say that there are thousands of federal police officers, and the truth is we have gone to Iguala and we have not seen them at all."

At the meeting police showed off the technology being used in the search, but a lawyer for the parents says what they want to see is a new search plan.
