Palestinians clash with Israeli army in West Bank

Clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers on Friday (November 14) after the midday prayers.

Near the West Bank city of Ramallah dozens protested against Israeli checkpoint that prevent them from reaching Al-Aqsa and they clashed with Israeli soldiers who responded with dispersal means.

In Hebron, Hamas supporters took off to the street and hurled stones at Israeli soldiers who fired tear gas to disperse the crowd.

The clashes came a day after the United States said that Israel and the Palestinians pledged to take concrete steps to calm tensions around Jerusalem's holiest site.

Israel on Friday allowed unlimited entry of Muslim worshippers to al-Aqsa compound.
