Propeller Crashes Through Plane Window After Emergency Landing

An Air Canada flight recently made an emergency landing at the Edmonton International Airport after a tire blew during takeoff. One of the aircraft's propellers crashed into the fuselage as the plane wobbled and skidded over the runaway.
On Thursday, an Air Canada flight recently made an emergency landing at the Edmonton International Airport after a tire blew during takeoff. That wasn’t the worst part, however.
One of the aircraft's propellers crashed into the fuselage as the plane wobbled and skidded over the runaway. The propeller was left sticking out a window of the Bombardier Q-400.
At the time of the incident, there were 71 passengers and 4 crew members on the aircraft. Three were hurt as a result and had to be taken to the hospital.
Their injuries were all listed as minor. One passenger was reportedly struck in the head by the blade of the propeller.
The woman was left dazed and her glasses were knocked off. She encountered some bumps and bruises but says she was very lucky her injuries weren’t worse.
Reportedly, the landing seemed to be going smoothly at first. However passengers soon heard a rattling sound as the plane touched down. The landing gear on the right side collapsed and sparks could be seen as the aircraft’s undercarriage scraped against the tarmac.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has since launched an investigation into the incident. One of the airport’s runways was closed while investigators combed through the scene.
