A man from Washington state has been captured after allegedly killing his girlfriend and posting disturbing photos of her body on social media sites.

33-year-old David Michael Kalac was taken into police custody in Wilsonville, Oregon. Law enforcement officials suspect Kalac drove off in the vehicle belonging to the victim, identified as 30-year-old Amber Lynn Coplin.

Kalac reportedly strangled her on Monday or Tuesday. Police discovered Coplin’s body on Tuesday afternoon in the apartment she shared with Kalac.

Law enforcement officials had received tips about someone who was posting crime scene photos on two social media sites.

Deputy Scott Wilson of the Kitsap County Sheriff's Department furthur elaborated “The initial poster, believed to be Kalac, was also posting comments with the pictures. He said that the crime scene would be discovered and what he was going to do. We took this very seriously.”

The pictures showed a woman’s nude body with red marks around the neck. The poster left a disturbing comment that said it was far more difficult to strangle someone in real life than it looked on the movies.

An affidavit notes the social media photos match the crime scene. Kalac was arrested after eluding police on a high speed pursuit.

He has been charged with ‘second-degree murder involving domestic violence’.
