Umbrella rally marks one month of Hong Kong protests

It's been a month since pro-democracy protests erupted in Hong Kong, and these umbrellas have become a symbol of the movement.
With umbrellas held high, 87 seconds of silence... commemorating the 87 cans of tear gas thrown by police attempting to disperse protesters on September 28th.
Tens of thousands were met by police resistance, as they swarmed through the streets demanding full democracy... including a free-voting system for the 2017 elections.
Something the mainly student demonstrators are still fighting for:

"I think everybody's pessimistic towards the political reform for Hong Kong in the future. So that's why we come out to revolt, to struggle..."
