Mumbai: No funds for fuel leaves patrolling boat 'anchored' - Tv9 Gujarati

That is the sorry plight of the Navi Mumbai Coastal Security Branch, which was launched post 26/11 to patrol the area. When they were given the speedboat, they were asked to regularly patrol the entire coastline. But when the authorities discovered the amount of fuel the boat consumes, the officers were advised to use it only in case of emergencies. As a result, the speedboat has been lying idle, as the department is short of funds for fuel.
