French police use tear gas to disperse Everton fans in Lille

In Lille dozens of anti-riot police used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse around 200 English football fans who had gathered at the city’s main Grand Place early in the afternoon ahead of their Europa League match in the French city.

A police source claims the trouble started after British officers in plain clothes. who had travelled to Lille, tried to arrest an Everton fan.
