Plane carrying Dallas nurse with Ebola arrives in Atlanta

STORY: The plane carrying a Dallas nurse with Ebola arrived in Atlanta Wednesday night.

The flight took off from Dallas just before 6 p.m. ET earlier Wednesday evening.

The nurse, 29-year-old Amber Vinson, helped care for Thomas Eric Duncan at Texas Health Presbyterian in Dallas.

Duncan, the first man diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S., died on Oct. 9.

Vinson walked off the plane in Atlanta in a yellow hazmat suit. She was guided by several doctors as she walked to a nearby ambulance.

Vinson flew from Dallas to Cleveland, and back to Dallas before being admitted to Texas Heath Presbyterian on Tuesday after she got sick, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

She flew back to Dallas on Frontier Airlines flight 1143. All 132 passengers who flew on that flight were asked to call the CDC.

Once in Atlanta, she will be taken to Emory University Hospital.

Emory treated two previous pa
