The World Teacher’s Day will be observed across the globe including Pakistan on Sunday with its theme “Invest in the Future, Invest Teachers”.
This year, teachers’ day aims to mobilise support for teachers and ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers.
Different seminars, conferences and talk show will be held countrywide to highlight the importance of teachers.
World Teachers’ Day was inaugurated on October 5, 1994 by the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to commemorate the 1966 joint signing of the UNESCO/International Labour Organisation (ILO) recommendation concerning the status of teachers.
