House arrest of former Salvador president revoked

On Friday El Salvador revoked the house arrest of former president Francisco Flores, of the right-wing ARENA party. He is charged with embezzling US$5.3 million and stealing an additional US$10 million in Taiwan earthquake relief aid. Protests occurred outside former president's home, demanding that he be imprisoned. teleSUR
