The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday approved Imran Khan’s request and allowed him access to the electoral record of NA 122 constituency, Dunya News reported.

The election commission also declared the census mandatory for the local body elections.

The high level ECP meeting took place under headship of Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali where important decisions regarding electoral irregularities and local body elections were taken.

As per the allowed access, Imran Khan would be able to evaluate ballet papers and electoral lists among other relevant material of the NA 122 constituency under supervision of provincial election commissioner.

Imran Khan had faced defeat at the hands of Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in General Elections 2013.

Meanwhile, the election tribunal hearing electoral irregularities complaint of NA 118 constituency rejected Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)’s petition to move the case to another tribunal.

PTI’s Hamid Khan had lost in this constituency to PML-N’s candidate.
