STORY: Police in three states continue to search on Saturday (September 13) for a shooter or shooters who killed a state trooper in an ambush at a police barracks in Pennsylvania, police said.

Pennsylvania police Commissioner Frank Noonan released the name of one police officer who was killed and another who was wounded after they were ambushed just outside police barracks in Blooming Grove, Pennsylvania. Corporal Bryon K. Dickinson was killed and Trooper Alex T. Douglass is in stable but critical condition, he said.

He told a news conference, "This is unbelievably heartbreaking to all of us."

Law enforcement officials are offering up to a $20,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for the crime.

Blooming Grove is a township of roughly 5,000 people near the New York state border.
