Dunya News - ISPR statement issued after consultation with govt: Chaudhry Nisar

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the tweet by Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) endorsed the government’s policy statements.
Speaking at the press conference today (Friday) in Islamabad, Chaudhry Nisar said that the government had allowed the Army to play a facilitative role in the negotiations. He said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri have been misleading the nation. He said that Qadri and Imran had earlier been saying that Army was going to be guarantors in the negotiations. He said that we never asked the COAS to be guarantor but government only asked them to play the role as facilitators.
Nisar said that using the word ‘guarantor’ for Army was unconstitutional. He said that Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri had been lying about this fact. Chaudhry Nisar also told that the situation was aggravated by the media.
