A former morgue employee in Hamilton County, Ohio admitted in 2008 to having sex with dead bodies, and now the county could be found liable for his acts. In court, Kenneth Douglas confessed to sexually abusing three corpses while he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Douglas said he could have had intercourse with approximately 100 bodies. Douglas went into detail about the incidents stating “I would just get on top of them and pull my pants down.”

He worked the night shift at the morgue between the years of 1976 and 1992.

Douglas' acts did not make it into the public eye until 2008 when DNA tests revealed his semen was in a corpse. He was sentenced to three years in prison for that crime and four years later he accepted fault in the other cases. The families of three of the deceased victims sued the county in 2012.

Now, the county’s former coroner and morgue may be in trouble. The U.S Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit ruled on Friday that a jury could find county morgue officials ‘recklessly and wantonly’ failed to supervise Douglas.

Evidence has surfaced in court, showing his bosses were allegedly aware he was high, drunk and having sex with corpses while on the clock.
