Seeman Speech 17 August 2014 (Medium Quality) during Sri Lankan Embassy Siege at Chennai
The Naam Tamizhar Katchi party (NTK) yesterday staged a protest in front of the Sri Lankan Deputy High Commission in Chennai.
This protest was organized for the recent controversies, where the Sri Lankan Defence Ministry website posted a derogatory article against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa and also to demand that India should not attend the conference in Sri Lanka.
NTK’s chief coordinator Seeman headed the protest.
Seeman said the following,
The Sri Lankan defence ministry website posted a degraded report about the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister is a serious offence. From today till 19th August, military conference is being held in Sri Lanka. In this conference, the central government should not take part.
India which has refused the UN hearing has accepted the Sri Lanka appointed committee for investigation. Continuously India is ignoring Tamils. Whether India should take part in this conference or not, the BJP government has not taken a stance yet.
The Congress government during its time welcomed Sri Lankan president with red carpet. BJP and Congress, both the governments are always working against the Tamil ethnic hostility. India can not participate in the conference, when it did not condemn the genocide in Sri Lanka, Seeman said.
