Palestinians in West Bank clash with Israeli soldiers in solidarity with Gaza

STORY: Hundreds of Palestinians across the West Bank clashed with Israeli security forces on Friday (August 8) after street demonstrations, as tensions over the ongoing crisis in Gaza increased.

In Hebron hundreds of men and women flocked onto the streets holding Hamas flags in solidarity with Gaza, in a protest that ended near an Israeli checkpoint, where soldiers clashed with Palestinian youths.

The Israeli army said that they used tear gas and a skunk truck to disperse protesters in Bethlehem where youths also held a protest to support the Gazans.

Downtown Ramallah city protesters held Palestinian and Hamas flags to show their support with their people in Gaza and they supported the Palestinian delegation who is negotiating for a truce deal in Cairo.
