"I do not know what they will do, kill me or kill my family"- Israeli youth

An Israeli infantry unit returns from Gaza, and their spirits are high.

On the 27th day of fighting, Israeli media reports that most Israeli troops have pulled out of the enclave.

But a military spokesman stops short of calling it a withdrawal, saying ground forces are being re-deployed.

The Gaza offensive is still powering on. The army says that more than 55 rockets have been fired at Israel, Sunday.

And this small community in southern Israel is on high alert, with the fear of a possible militant infiltration.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) RESIDENT OF NETIV HAASARA, TAL CUPERSTEIN SAYING:

"The thought that there are people under my house or close to my house digging and maybe they will just come out one day and, I do not know what they will do, kill me or kill my family. It is scary."

Soldiers watch over the area, doing what they can to protect frightened residents.

...civilians who must go on living their normal lives as a war rages nearby.
