Drivers have no control over the dangerous things that can fly out of somebody else’s vehicle. Motorists traveling on Route 95 southbound in Topsfield, Massachusetts learned how scary it can be when something unexpected comes out of another auto.

The victims were traveling behind a landscaping truck when out of nowhere, something crashed through the front windshield. It turned out to be an axe.

The tool was not properly secured to the work truck so eventually it flew off the vehicle and landed in the windshield of the car that was right behind the landscapers.

The axe didn’t come all the way through, but instead the tip of the tool got stuck in the dashboard. The incident occurred at approximately 11 A.M. on Wednesday .

The motorists inside the car were shaken up. It didn’t help that they were looking at the axe stuck in the windshield and had to think about how much worse it could have been.

Luckily, the car was going the speed limit at the time and nobody inside was injured. If they had gone any faster, the axe would have likely flown all the way inside the vehicle and possibly hit the occupants.

The truck driver received a $200 citation for failure to secure cargo.
