Two good friends in Ohio recently celebrated their summer birthdays together. Florence Koppin, and Dorothy Pickett, both 100 years of age, have been pals for 72 years.

Koppin turned a century old on June 17 while Pickett’s birthday is today. On Monday, a party was held for the women so they could celebrate together.

100 roses were there along with twin cakes. Amazingly, both centenarians will tell you they feel great.

They share similar beliefs on how you too, can make it to 100. Given that they both live in Iowa, that might play a role but there are other factors.

The women say staying active is the key. Pickett commented, “I ride the cycle every morning. Well, not every morning, but at least four or five days a week.

They agree that good times with friends, drinking coffee or tea and lots of laughing helps ease the daily stress that comes with life. As for food, the woman say they ate what they liked and didn't give too much thought to their diets.

Pickett says she tries to keep up with the times and even has a cell phone, but she confesses life has changed drastically since she was young.
