Robert Downey Jr. is certainly a force to be reckoned with and the megastar recently landed the top spot on Forbes' list of highest-paid Hollywood actors. This makes it the second consecutive year he’s came in at number 1.
Between June 2013 and June 2014, Forbes estimates he took in $75 million, which is around the same amount as the year before. Forbes chalks up his earnings mostly to the 'Iron Man' and 'Avengers' films .
Marvel movies with 49-year-old Downey as the lead man have raked in $4 billion at the global box office. Home films and merchandise have bought in millions.
Obviously Disney, the owners of Marvel, wants to continue pushing the 'Iron Man' role that fans automatically associate with Downey.
Coming behind Downey, former wrestler Dwayne Johnson aka ‘The Rock’ landed the number 2 spot followed by Bradley Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio and Chris Hemsworth rounding out the top 5.
