Former tech editor Ryan Block recently tried to ditch the provider and it ended up being far from the simple call one would anticipate.

To help others understand what he’d endured, Block posted 8 minutes of the much longer conversation he had with a Comcast retention specialist.

In it, Block says over and over that he just wants to cancel his service.

Comcast has since said that they’re looking into the matter, and added, "This isn't how our customer service representatives are trained to operate."

Block announced he was eventually successful in his mission to disconnect.
