A loyal dog in Oklahoma City is exhibiting signs of grief after his owner passed away. According to local police, officers found the body of a homeless man near the Canadian River and the bull terrier was right next to him and refused to leave his side.

It was roughly 100 degrees outside that day and the waterway was only steps away from the scene. Amazingly, the dog wouldn’t even leave his owner's body to get a drink of water from the river.
Now, the animal is living in the Oklahoma City animal shelter. He spends his days resting in his kennel, as he uncontrollably shakes and looks around at his surroundings.
He appears to be scared and depressed. The loud barking in the adjacent kennels isn’t helping his emotional state.
According to a staffer at the shelter, the canine keeps looking for his owner. The grieving dog will soon be placed into a foster home if the homeless man’s family doesn’t come to claim him.
