Saul Alvarez defeats Erislandy Lara in a controversial split decision win. Judge Jerry Roth scored it 115-113 for Lara, Dave Moretti 115-113 for Canelo and Levi Martinez 117-111 for Canelo. Erislandy Lara showed great footwork and defense, which gave Canelo trouble, but lacked action in the offensive area. Team Lara felt they were robbed and demand a rematch, Golden Boy says No Rematch.
