U.S. prosecutors plan to file more charges against Benghazi suspect

Ahmed Abu Khatallah, the suspected organizer of the deadly 2012 Benghazi consulate attack, could face more criminal charges.

Prosecutor Michael DiLorenzo told a federal judge Tuesday that more charges will be filed because the government believes Khatallah was motivated by extremist ideology when he planned the attacks.

The assault on the consulate left four Americans dead, including the U.S. ambassador.

Khatallah has pleaded not guilty to a conspiracy charge.
