At least two persons died and three others injured in a suicide blast in Preedy Street of Saddar area.
According to police, the suicide bomber was riding a motorcycle and collided with another motorcyclist killing both on the spot and injuring three others. Windowpanes of the nearby buildings and vehicles damaged due to the blast.
Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and asked people to stay away from the crime scene. Police recovered head of the suicide bomber and shifted the dead bodies and the injured to Jinnah Hospital.
Police disclosed that ball bearings were used in the blast.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain strongly condemned the blast and demanded to take stern action against terrorist outfits in the city.
