Pak Army has unearthed landmines manufacturing factory in Miranshah during ground operation.

According to ISPR, at least 225 cylinders filled with explosive material weighing from 80 to 100 kilogram have also been seized from the factory.

One hundred and fifty incomplete cylinders meant for manufacturing landmines, 10 anti-tank landmines, 700 pipes filled with explosive material, and equipment for physical training and welding were also seized.

Earlier, Pakistan Army initiated ground operation in Miranshah. 15 terrorists were killed in the early phase of the operation. A search action is also under way to hunt down terrorist groups in the hiding.

According to the statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), ground operation has been carried out after the evacuation of the civilian population in the area. The army men have started canvassing the quarter and rummaging around. Mir Ali and a few other areas serving as hiding havens for the terrorists are being attacked by tanks.

According to the preliminary reports by the ISPR, 15 terrorists have been killed so far and 19 have surrendered to the security forces. 17 soldiers have been martyred during the Operation Zarb-e-Azb. 61 terrorist shelters have been sabotaged in the past 15 days. The operation that was initiated on 15th of June has taken down almost 374 terrorists till date.

Boya Digaan, Jhalar and Mir Ali considered as extremist forts were taken under siege. These were claimed to have been a shelter to Uzbek, Chechen and Arab terrorists. The besiegement of the area has tightened the margin of escape for these terrorist entities.
