Slaviansk streets deserted amid ceasefire as residents pick up pieces in aftermath

The streets are quiet in Slaviansk amid a ceasefire between rebels and the government in Ukraine.

Late Monday one woman was killed and another wounded when a residential neighborhood was hit.

Residents are still picking up the pieces in this eastern Ukrainian city.

Homes have been broken open. And anyone or anything could be a target.

One resident describes the terror.

(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) SLAVIANSK RESIDENT, LYUBOV SEREDA, SAYING:

"You can not understand where they are shooting from. When they started shooting we and the children just had enough time to hide in the house, not even in the basement, just in the house. The first explosion was with the awful crack, the second blast made the ceiling fall on us!"

She says no one is putting down arms.
