N.Waziristan military operation will continue until it achieves goal - Pakistani PM

They are fleeing the violence in Pakistan.

As the government resumes a military operation to flush out insurgents in North Waziristan -- many have been forced from their homes with no where to go.

(SOUNDBITE) (Pashto) RESIDENT FLEEING FROM WAZIRISTAN, NOMAN GHANI, SAYING:

"The people of Waziristan are running around here in vain -- but there are no houses are available, and no other arrangements have been made for us."

But the government launched the operation Sunday. It came after a deadly insurgent attack on Pakistan's biggest airport a week ago.

The Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had hoped talk would stop the violence. But then came the airport attack.

(SOUNDBITE) (Urdu) PAKISTANI PRIME MINISTER NAWAZ SHARIF, SAYING: (SOUNDBITE CONTINUES OVER SHOT OF PARLIAMENTARIANS BANGING THEIR HANDS ON THEIR DESKS)

"The operation against terrorism has been launched. This operation will, God willing, continues until it achieves its final goal."
