Donkeys deliver ballot boxes for Afghanistan's presidential election

Election preparations in Afghanistan --- ballot boxes and other supplies are loaded onto donkeys for delivery to remote locations.
Armed guards keep a close watch. And while the mode of transport may be primitive, Fedeh Ahmad, the election supervisor for Panjshir is determined to have a modern election with high turnout.
(SOUNDBITE) (Dari) FEDAH AHMAD, PROVINCIAL ELECTION SUPERVISOR IN PANJSHIR, SAYING:
"We want to make sure that our people do not miss the chance to cast their votes in any part of the country. We use all possible ways to reach them with the ballot papers so that we will be able to chose the country's future leader."
Afghans head to the polls on Saturday, for the second time in weeks, to vote for Hamid Karzai's replacement.
While the first round election went off without incident, many are paying close attention to Saturday's runoff -- which takes place when the Taliban fighting season is in full swing.
