A 27-year-old man in Houston was sentenced to 70 years in prison after being found guilty of brutally murdering his grandfather. According to prosecutors, Justin Wayne Parris killed and beheaded his 81-year-old relative with hedge clippers.

On November 6, 2009 police found the accused with blood stains on his pants at shirt at the home of his grandfather, Johnnie Morales-Gonzales. Cops soon found the victim on the floor of his residence. His body had been covered with a blanket.

In the garage, investigators located the long handled hedge clippers. Parris reportedly had a large cut on his arm and a bandaged finger. When cops asked him what happened, Parris replied "I don't want to talk about it."

He did admit to placing the blanket over his deceased grandfather because he didn’t want to look at his body. He was arrested shortly after the murder.

At the trial, evidence from the medical examiner was presented showing the victim’s head had been ‘completely decapitated’.
