It's raining cops in Bollywood these days! Not that we haven't seen police based movies in the past, but the sudden fascination and glorification towards cop drama in Bollywood has raised the demand to see actors in Khaki-wardi on-screen.
So, from the likes of actor Vivek Oberoi, Ajay Devgan or Emraan Hashmi, to female stars including Swara Bhaskar and Rani Mukerji, here's a look at all those who will be donning the khaki suit.
Emraan Hashmi
Move over Mr. India and Gaayab, Indian cinema is ready to tell the tale of an invisible man again, only this time, it's a cop. Emraan is playing a character who has the power to become invisible in his film Raja Natwarlal.
Rani Mukherjee
Several Bollywood actresses have played a cop in the past and Rani Mukherjee will be the latest one to join the bandwagon. The actress will be playing a cop in Yash Raj Films' Mardaani, which will be helmed by Pradeep Sarkar.
Farhan Akhtar
The Rahul Dholakia directed project Raees stars Shahrukh Khan in the lead role. But the second hero of the movie has been a mystery. Nonetheless, Farhan Akhtar will be playing a cop who takes him on.
Ajay Devgan
The actor, who played the daring cop Bajirao Singham in Rohit Shetty's Singham, will be reprising the role of daredevil cop in the movie's sequel, Singham Returns.
Vivek Oberoi
Vivek Oberoi will play the role of an ace cop in Sanjay Gupta's Mumbai Saga and apparently his character is based on encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar who lost his life during the Mumbai terror attacks of 2008.
Swara Bhaskar
The actor will be essaying the role of a cute traffic cop in Abbas Tyrewala's upcoming film and her character Tarini is a cop by occupation, but by personality she is a bit of a loser.
