Harry Hudson (?-1969) did not have an orchestra of his own. His was one of the studio orchestras active all through the 1930's in Britain and profusely recorded for Edison Bell's Radio label. the line-up often included such sidemen as: Sylvester Ahola, Lew Davis, Sid Phillips and George Melachrino Some of his re-issued recordings are under pseudoyms of The Blue Jays; The Radio Rhythm Boys (the alias used in this case), and the Deauville Dance Band. This excellent recording was made in 1931. In this case personnel comprised Max Goldberg or Murray Dempsey and Arthur Niblo, tp; Ted Heath, Lew Davis or Ben Oakley, tb; Sid Phillips, cl, asx, bsx; Ken Warner, ssx, asx; George Malachrino, tsx, cl; Annunzio Mantovani and unkn, vln; Jean Paques or Harry Jacobson, pno; Bill Herbert, bj, g; Bill Busby, bb and Wag Abbey or Rudy Starita, d-x. The vocal is by John Thorne.
