Robin Thicke tries to cop a plea for wifey with the release of the endlessly minimal “Get Her Back”. Thicke’s patently rich falsetto glides over a clean and simple guitar riff, recalling an even more stripped-down version of “Lost Without You.” Thicke and (now ex) wife Paula Patton called it quits earlier in the year, making this the “Cusack with a boombox over his head in the rain” type of ballad that’s poised to win em’ over.
