DIVOOM Bluetune POP Purple Rechargeable Portable Speaker Review

The Bluetune POP Bluetooth speaker is one of the most compact portable Bluetooth speakers that I've used. I tried it with my Kindle Fire HDX 7" tablet. In Bluetooth mode, it paired quickly as device "Bluetune-pop." I played one of my favorite playlists that gave the POP speaker a good workout with both instrumentals and vocals, and the 4-watt audio output sounded excellent to my ears. The speaker has no controls of its own, so functions like volume, pause/play, and next track/previous track are controlled from the source.

For non-Bluetooth audio devices, the speaker includes a uniquely designed cable that does double duty as both a charging cable and an audio cable to connect the speaker to the source. Before using the speaker, I charged it with a 5V~1A AC adapter, although it can also be charged through a USB port. The specs say the speaker's 500mAh Li-ion battery will power the speaker for up to 8 hours of playback.

In its collapsed configuration, the POP speaker is approximately 3" in diameter and 1.6" high. With its small size and weighing only 3 ounces, it's about as portable as a speaker can be. It's ideal for anyone who needs a boost in the volume of their mobile devices, especially smartphones with their tiny speakers.
