Two little boys were seriously injured when a bounce house was blown into the air from a strong gust of wind.

A recent incident proves bounce houses can be a hazard and not in the way you might imagine.

Two little boys were seriously injured when a bounce house was blown into the air from a strong gust of wind. The boys, aged 5 and 6, were two out of three children that had been inside the inflatable at the time it was blown off the ground.

According to a witness, the wind picked up the house and spun it around, causing one of the boys to be thrown 30 to 40 feet out of the structure. The other male was sent about 20 feet in the opposite direction and landed on a vehicle.

The younger child encountered two broken arms and facial abrasions while the older boy received a serious head injury. Both males were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The third child, a 10-year-old little girl was hurt, but not as badly. Her mom reported she fell from the house as it lifted off and suffered minor scrapes.

Reportedly the bounce house was at least 15 to 20 feet in the air when the two boys fell out, but at one point the structure may have been 100 feet high.

The owner of the inflatable used stakes to secure it to the ground, but the wind was so strong it pulled the house free.
