David Cameron calls abduction of Nigerian schoolgirls "act of pure evil"

British Prime Minister David Cameron has described the abduction of more than 200 Nigerian schoolgirls as an “act of pure evil” and pledged further assistance to Nigeria on Wednesday (May 7).
“We should be clear, this is not just a Nigerian issue, it is a global issue. There are extreme Islamists around our world who are against education, against progress, against equality and we must fight them and take them on wherever they are,” Cameron told parliament.
Nigerian police have offered a reward of 50 million naira (215,000 euros) for information on the whereabouts of the girls, kidnapped by militant group Boko Haram last month from their boarding school in the north east of the country.
Police listed six phone numbers and urged Nigerians to call in with “credible information”.
The girls’ disappearance has triggered an international outcry. Actress and UN Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie added her voice: “If the world does nothing then they get away with this, then we set this horrible precedent. So I think it is extremely important that something is done immediately to try to find these girls, to try to bring them home. And god forbid we can’t, we have to still bring these men to justice.”
There have been daily protests in Nigeria, piling pressure on the government to get the girls back. Anger has been growing after another eight girls were seized in the same region on Sunday night.
