Some of posts suggest that the instrument is a flute. Actually, this is an Erhu, a Chinese stringed instrument akin to a 2 stringed violin that is played with the base sitting on the lap. The bow is attached. Jia Peng Fang has some more traditional pieces but many of the compositions are blended ambient Erhu. A really talented player.
