North Korean leader Kim Jong-un paid respects to his grandfather and founder of the communist country, Kim Il Sung, on Tuesday at the Day of the Sun celebration.

Pictures from the North’s state media, KRT news, showed the young leader arriving at the Kumsusan Palace in Pyongyang with senior military officials, including Choe Ryong Hae, Ry Yong Gil and Jang Jong Nam.
