Recently, Hillary Clinton was reportedly hit by a shoe while speaking in front of a crowd at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Recently, Hilary Clinton was reportedly hit by a shoe while speaking in front of a crowd at the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino in Las Vegas.
Clinton handled the ordeal gracefully. It doesn’t appear as though she saw it coming towards her at rapid speed, however once it flew past her head, she cringed, clasped her hands together and moved a few feet in the opposite direction.
Instead of getting angry, Clinton made a joke about it. She first asked ‘is that somebody throwing something at me?’ before inquiring ‘is that part of Cirque du Soleil?’
As she made a verbal lighthearted crack about the incident, a blonde woman quickly walked through the audience, only to be confronted by security. The suspect was reportedly handed over to law enforcement after the shoe throwing occurrence.
Although the motive for the act was not released, she may soon be facing criminal charges. Following the narrow miss, Clinton remarked ‘My goodness, I didn't know that solid waste management was so controversial. Thank goodness she didn't play softball like I did.’
