Synopsis
English : A special agent from Chicago is sent out west to bring in the notorious Reno brothers. Rage at Dawn is a 1955 American Western film by RKO Pictures starring Randolph Scott and Forrest Tucker, and featuring Denver Pyle, Edgar Buchanan, Mala Powers and J. Carrol Naish. It purports to tell the true story of the Reno Brothers, an outlaw gang which terrorized the American Midwest, particularly Southern Indiana, in the period immediately following the American Civil War.

En 1866, terrorisant l'Etat d'Indiana, le gang des frères Reno utilise la ville de Seymour comme un refuge, corrompant trois fonctionnaires de la ville. L'Agence Policière Peterson envoie James Barlow pour empêcher l'action de ce gang. Barlow se fait passer pour un hors-la-loi pour gagner la confiance des frères et des bureaucrates. Cela se complique avec la compassion qu'éprouve Barlow pour Laura, la soeur des Reno, elle qui tient la maison à contre-coeur. La tension monte alors que la bande s'apprête un coup pour attaquer un train.
