Aretha Franklin celebrates her 72nd birthday in New York

The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, celebrated her 72nd birthday with a bash in New York's Ritz Carlton Hotel on Saturday March 22nd.
The singer of such hits as 'Respect' and 'Think' holds a party every year to which she invites not only her celebrity friends but also members of the world's press.

The singer received a large birthday cake at the event, although her actual birthday is on March 25th. So does she have any ideas what she's hoping for on the big day?
