A woman in India recently gave birth to conjoined twins. Up until the babies’ arrival into the world, the mother, 28-year-old Urmila Sharma had no idea she was carrying twins.

According to reports, Sharma couldn’t afford to have an ultrasound performed during her pregnancy. Sadly, the sheer happiness that usually comes with newborns is missing in this case.
Sharma, who is said to be in good condition, and her family are extremely stressed because medical authorities aren’t sure if the infants will survive. The siblings have two separate necks and two spines, however they share the same body and all of their vital organs.
That makes separating them impossible. Doctors are doing everything they can keep the twins alive, but at this point, the outlook is grim.
Surgeons may be able to operate in the future to improve their health, but the requirement for the surgery is that the babies remain in stable condition. Right now, everyone is hoping for the best and attending to the infants on the chance they will live.
