US: Arizona Governor blocks law allowing bar staff not to serve gay clients

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has vetoed a law that would have permitted bar tenders not to serve gay customers because of “religious beliefs”.
Ms. Brewer, a Republican said it had the potential to create more problems than it would solve.
There were cheers outside Arizona’s capitol building when the veto was announced.
