Anna Tachibana fan arrested for murder threats to Alice No. 10 star

A 33-year-old office worker from Fukui Japan was arrested on Sunday for allegedly sending multiple murder threats to Japanese idol Anna Tachibana from Alice No. 10. The accused man, Shogo Yasukawa, is charged with posting the comments on Anna's blog starting in May last year. Yasukawa also stands accused of posting photoshopped images of the idol singer stabbed to death alongside fake stories he wrote fantasizing about killing her.
When asked about his arrest, Anna commented that she feels a sense of relief, knowing he was taken into custody. She says since he started threatening her last year, she becomes really nervous when strangers approach her from behind. Meanwhile, her agents had to call off several fan meets and photoshoots due to the tense atmosphere Yasukawa created. Even during her concerts, extra precautions such as beefed up security and bag checks were done to ensure her and her fan's safety.
Anna's agency contacted the police, who identified Yasukawa last November and gave him a warning. However, he ignored it and continued to post threatening content on the internet. The police finally had enough and took him into custody. He admitted to the charges, claiming that he was using the scandal to boost his Twitter account.
