People allege lapses in biometric ration card system, Surat - Tv9 Gujarati

In Surat , A group of people and shop owner said, they are facing practical difficulties in the implementation of bio-metric ration card system for the Public Distribution System.They alleged that when machines were showing error while reading the fingerprints of beneficiaries for the use of the biometric cards. They also alleged that as finger print of only one person of a family was saved in the biometric card, it was not possible for the other members of the family to collect ration from the PDS outlets.
