Corby released on parole

36-year old Shapelle Corby, an Australian national, is out on parole after serving nine years of her drug trafficking sentence at a prison in Bali.

Corby was wearing a white fedora and her face was covered with a scarf as she was escorted through a media scrum into a waiting vehicle.

In 2005, a Balinese court sentenced her to 20 years in prison for trying to smuggle 4 kilograms of marijuana into the country... charges she denies to this day.

The former beauty school student was taken to an upscale resort in Bali where an Australian TV network has brokered a six figure deal with her to get the first interview.

Her parole requires her to stay on the island until 2017 where she plans to live with her sister Mercedes.
